RECIPES to Enhance

This section focuses on products to enhance your glowing skin by achieving your very own colors and scents to suit your unique complexion and personality. But the wonder of homemade products does not stop there—the versatile efficacies in each ingredient not only enhance momentarily but also build healthy skin in the long term.

Equipment to Consider

  • Mirrors: Invest in a magnifying, lighted mirror as well as a small one to work around the eyes. Always look at both small and large mirrors for the entire face to make sure it is balanced.
  • Brushes: Different types of brushes for different textures and colours are not only convenient, since you then don’t have to wash after each use, but also to effectively disperse the make-up on the skin.

Natural Make-Up

This powder foundation helps you achieve an even colour and blends effortlessly into already purified and nurtured skin, while lightly filtering the sun’s rays. If you want to avoid using heavy foundation to cover up, try slowly to get used to this literally natural and almost edible make-up. The confidence you gain through this daily practice will reward you and reflect on your natural beauty.

Deodorant

There have been numerous reports on studies linking the use of deodorant with breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. According to a study by the European Journal of Cancer Prevention, commonly used aluminium salts that enter the already damaged underarm area from shaving could affect the lymph nodes. There are several natural options for deodorant including ammonium alum (crystal), which is economical and widely available.

Deodorant Stone

A rock-like mineral known as saan som in Thailand has been used as an antiperspirant for centuries. The stone is dampened and then rubbed under the armpits. Before the advent of modern plumbing, the mineral was dropped into giant rainwater jars in order to collect water. It drew sediment to the bottom of the jar, thus leaving the upper levels clear and fresh.
